Hatchet
Hatchet is a digital development agency in Perth, Western Australia whose mission is to build cutting edge digital solutions which harness the power of technology. With an extensive and impressive client base, Hatchet were after a new brand identity that more accurately reflected the caliber of their work, as well as the personality of their talented team.
A brand crafted for curious and forward-thinking problem solvers. The sharp contrasting angles of the logo, type and imagery reflect the central theme of ‘playful disruption.’ This is complimented by bold sans-serif typography and confident messaging, which becomes more playful across social media and internal merchandise.
For this project, we enhanced Hatchet’s pre-existing red and black colour palette. We slightly softened the red and added a pastel blue and cream to make it feel more playful and approachable. We chose to use natural and relaxed imagery to capture Hatchet’s friendly and personable approach to their clients and their work.
